New animal healthcare site from 100 year-old firm. The century old Cheerans group head-quartered in India launches www.Vethealth.com, a world class information resource for animal lovers across the globe.

This is the first time an Indian company launches an online venture towards the Global Animal Care community. Though companies in India are now focusing on BPO for International majors, this innovative venture takes a unique identity by intra-diversification within its traditional stronghold.

The site, Vethealth.com is spearheaded by one of India's oldest Animal Health Products company, Cheerans Lab (P) Limited which is part of the Cheerans group founded in 1904. Though the company has numerous brands in its operational domain, the site www.vethealth.com does not contain any mentioning of its huge product leadership and capabilities and this excites industry observers.

Meanwhile, it may be recalled that vethealth.com has earlier won accolades as one of the "Best 150 Internet ideas" out of 4500 participants in the IV2K programme. Company had then refused venture capital infusion as it wanted truly to be a non-commercial venture without stakes dilution. Since then vethealth.com has grown tremendously catering to the companion animal segment. The company is also in the preparation of a few more interesting online ventures in the animal care segment.
